We are actively looking to grow our Board of Trustees. The Trustees on this governing board play an important role in advancing our organizational mission, advising the leadership team, and raising funds for future development.
We are looking to expand the Board with experienced and passionate individuals. Experience in fundraising, marketing, early childhood education, finance, and human resources are desired. Candidates with deep ties to the Puget Sound region's corporate and philanthropic communities are especially encouraged to apply. Most Board Members bring significant (10-15 years or more) professional experience to the role.
To be considered for the Board, candidates must have prior non-profit board experience, experience in and comfort with fundraising, and a connection to the mission of early childhood development. Trustees are asked to: commit to attending board meetings; actively participate on at least one committee or task force; support the organization's fundraising activities; and make a personal annual gift to the museum. All board members are required to have a background check.
In addition to the traditional slate of trustees, we are also opening up one position on the board for a member-at-large. We are looking to fill this position with an individual from the museum's membership base. The member-at-large position will have a shorter term and flexibility with the fundraising commitments.
