Where Imagination Comes Alive . . . as we explore Christmas traditions around the World.

  • Making Paper Stockings.  While there is no written tradition tracing the stocking, there are many legends around how the stockings became a part of many Christmas traditions. We will be learning some carols, hearing a story and making our own paper stockings.
  • Making Candy Cane Sugar Cookies. Twist and turn your cookie dough into a candy cane shape. A peppermint flavored traditional treat, it was first introduced by a choirmaster who wanted something to keep the kids quiet!!  We won't be keeping quiet while we play and create!
  • See Santa!! Come say 'Hi!' to Santa while he's stopped to visit our Mountain exhibit. We've even added some activities and decorations to the Mountain to make him feel more at home. Come join us - and don't forget your camera!
  • Snacks with Santa. Have you ever wondered what Rudolph's favorite snack is? Or what about the elves - what do they like to eat? RSVP to spend some one on one time with Santa while we snack on some sweet and healthy treats. We'll even spend some time being Christmas architects, constructing our own mini gingerbread houses to take home. Bring your camera and your smile!
This activities happen throughout our week of exploration, not every day!  Be sure to check our calendar for daily details. The exhibit is open for play all day, every day.
