Educational Extras - Bridging the gap between formal and informal learning

Your field trip to the Museum can have a tangible outcome when you book an Educational Extra.  In addition to the learning that will happen for your kids while playing inside our Museum, this program takes students through a 30-minute guided learning experience. 

Our skilled Educators will guide your chaperones and kids through both an activity and a craft based on our monthly theme.  This 30 minute activity bridges the gap between the formal learning of the classroom and informal learning of the Museum, allowing curiosity to guide the learning within the parameters of a specific program.

Educational Extras are available September thru May only (school year)
Tuesday - Friday at 10:00am, 10:45am and 11:30am
Space and availability are limited and booking requires 2 weeks advance notice.

Option Two: Seattle Center Monorail

Want to learn about how the monorail works?  Learn about electricity and how the train has been running “green” for 50 years.

Cost:
Students ages 5 to 12: $1.00 round trip, $0.75 one-way
Chaperones: $1.00 round trip, $0.75 one-way
Children under 4 & Sponsored Admission Groups: Reduced Rates available
