OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Education Docent
Everyday our education department leads hands-on learning activities in our museum. If your interests include education or early childhood development this is a great way to interact with our youngest customers.

Floor Monitor
This is an excellent way to gain experience in museum science. You will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the daily operation of the museum as you interact with our guests. Monitors are responsible for ensuring our have the best experience possible.

Technology, Humanities, and Artists' Studio Docent Our museum has a drop-in Technology Studio where visitors can play real instruments in the music studio, surf the internet, or be in a real video game! In the Artist Studio visitors can drop in and work with an artist to create their own masterpiece. Workshops, special performances, and school group activities all take place in our Humanities Studio.

The Museum Shop
The Museum Shop offers educational background merchandise for our exhibits. We are looking for volunteers with good customer service skills to help greet and ring-up customers, help receive merchandise, and display items throughout the shop.

Birthday Party & School Group Greeter
"The Greeter" is responsible for greeting and orienting all of the school groups that visit the museum during school week. They also greet and assist our birthday party patrons on the weekends.

After Hours Monitor
If you have a busy day schedule and want to be involved, volunteer opportunities are available in the evenings when our museum rented out for private functions.

Storyteller
Storytellers are needed everyday to read stories in our Storytelling Circle. We provide the stories and you provide the entertainment!

Email our volunteer coordinator or call 206.441.1768 today!
