Activities during Our Exploration
- Making Scratch Colorings. The colors representing the Kwanzaa festival all represent an important element of the celebration. We'll learn about the Kwanzaa colors and make scratch art.
- Making Black-eyed Pea Salad. Central to the traditions of Kwanzaa are sharing food with family and your community. We'll make a tasty treat to share with our friends and families.
- Performance by Celebrate Kwanzaa with Ocheami - Being Together and Staying Together. Enjoy the movements of Ghanaian dance with Amma Anang and with live music provided by Kofi Anang. Amma is a very experienced teacher, with a passion for teaching the young ones how to move to the drums.
