Each day, our educators ignite imaginations with programs designed to help kids discover, learn, and ask questions. We know it’s informal learning, but you can just call it fun!

Our Weekday Programs follow this guide:

10:30am and 11:30am - Ages 10 months - 5 years

These two program times are designed for our littlest visitors and encourage caregiver/child interactions.

Noon - All Ages

At noon each day we offer a story time designed to engage and entertain children of all ages. Don't worry if your little one gets the wiggles and can't sit for the full 30 minutes; you can quietly leave the program. You won't hurt our feelings!

1:00pm - Ages 4 - 10

This time is dedicated to advanced play inside one of our exhibits. An educator will use our PA system to announce the exhibit he/she will be playing in and then roll out an activity. It could be a tea party in our Kobe, Japan exhibit, or a food pyramid challenge in Metropolitan Market.

2:00pm - Ages 6 - 10

This program is for our older kid visitors. Ranging from print making, to science projects, to our Kids Cook program, these educator-led activities often encourage teamwork, reflective thinking, and artistic engagement.
